A small design change gives big advantages

Design improvement on 26 series

At a recent cat show, a customer gave us some feedback on a T26ROO cat tree recently purchased.

It's really well made, but it's a pain to clean the barrel under the lower bed!

 So, after making these models for over 32 years, we decided to improve the design slightly.

The solution is so simple, we cannot understand why we have not done it before.

Until February 2023, Posts 1 & 2 under the barrel have always been 10 inch high.
The revised design reduces these posts to 8 inch high.

Advantages

• A larger gap above the barrel means it is easier to vacuum and clean.
• Provides another spot for perching or snoozing on top of the barrel.
• The proportions are improved, so it looks better.
• The barrel is slightly lower, so it is more kitten friendly.

For replacement parts

It is rare the posts under the barrel need replacing, but if you do...

• If the code under the base is lower than 230609, your cat tree has 10 inch posts under the barrel.
• If the code under the base is higher than 230609, your cat tree has 8 inch posts under the barrel.

If you are still unsure, replacing both posts under the barrel will keep it level.
